Manufacturing and testing operative -Birmingham B15 1 Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30 Contract Type: Full-Time Hourly Rate: £12.64 per hour 12 month contract.

We are seeking a Manufacturing & Testing Operative to join our client's team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Laboratory Products Division, supporting vital research, diagnostic, and clinical environments.

As part of the manufacturing team, you will play a key role in inspecting, assembling, and packaging laboratory consumables to meet defined specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging and labelling equipment to ensure accurate product presentation.
  • Print labels using approved software and maintain compliance with documentation standards.
  • Complete batch paperwork including Batch Record Sheets, Engineering Change Notices, and deviations.
  • Understand material process flow from raw materials through to finished goods.
  • Assist in Quality Control with in-process and finished goods inspections.
  • Cross-train across departments to support wider production needs.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of labelling equipment.
  • Promote a positive working environment by building strong team relationships.
  • Process label work orders for manufacturing departments and related documents.
  • Input downtime data and maintain accurate batch records.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing, operations, production, or laboratory settings.
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach.
