Case Officer - Compliance and Enforcement - Brighton - £26,218 plus excellent benefits!

The Gi Group are currently recruiting for a Case Officer for the Automatic Enrolment (Compliance and Enforcement) team at a company who protect workplace pension. They have a modern office location in the heart of Brighton with a diverse, lively and professional growing workforce.

My client is seeking a case officer to provide effective end to end management of a portfolio of selected cases in line with agreed policies and procedures. This will include: setting case strategies, carrying out investigation, information gathering work with a wide range of stakeholders (inc. employers, schemes, workers / members), resolving cases through education and engagement, using the regulator's enforcement powers or escalating where appropriate, and making recommendations for case closure / disposal.

The Case Officer will:

  • Provide effective end to end case management to maximise compliance with automatic enrolment and protect members benefits in line with agreed policies and procedures
  • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and challenge documentation provided by stakeholders including payroll related products, reports,company structures, financial information
  • Be responsible for the timely and accurate inputting of information and evidence into the case management system
  • Make independent decisions on the use of my clients statutory powers within the framework of case management and PACTT principles
  • Identify risk in line with current policies, procedures and statutory guidelines, with prompt escalation of case related risks
  • Prioritize workload based on a risk-based approach Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and knowledge management
  • On occasion attend off site inspections and meetings with employers and stakeholders


It is essential the Case Officer has the following:

  • Demonstrable experience within either an investigative or regulatory environment
  • Demonstrable experience of end to end investigative case management
  • Experience of working in line with robust governance and risk assessment processes and ensuring security of sensitive material
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external customers / stakeholders at all levels
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Understanding of GDPR principles
  • Experience of dealing with third party sources of information
  • Sufficient knowledge and technical ability to effectively use a number of IT related systems (casemanagement system, supporting reporting databases, customer relationship management and others)
  • A formal qualification in Investigative Practice or equivalent (desirable)
