Gi Group are currently seeking Material Handlers to join our client's team in Brigg on an ongoing, temporary to permanent basis.
You must hold an in date FLT license dated within the last 3 years.
Pay
Starting at £9.15ph and then rising to £9.45ph after a successful 3 months in the role.
Hours
Primarily starting on the 6am-2pm shift
Eventually moving onto a shift rota of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm
Key Areas, Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitation of material flow and co-ordinate warehouse picking.
- Maximise all waste streams and ensure maximum revenue is recovered at all times.
- Manage and supply Kan Ban levels to the desired level - to minimise downtime.
- Manage all goods in activities informing people of materials and ensuring any paperwork is passed onto the relevant areas.
- Administer all customer and supplier returns effectively.
- Ensure the materials department and the outside yard are is well organised and tidy.
- Work with all key stakeholders to drive the OTIF measure.
- Establish SOP documentation for all Material Processes.
- Identify & drive continuous improvement projects within own area.
- Stock count and control accurately and efficiently
Person Specification:
- Proactive positive attitude with a desire to want to improve and do things better.
- Good interpersonal skill to be able to influence and communicate across all levels of the business.
- Good attention to detail whilst working in an organised manner, prioritising own workload effectively.
- Able to identify & drive continuous improvement projects within own area.
- Experience in similar role desirable
- FLT licence essential
