Gi Group are recruiting for reliable night hygiene operatives to work with our small, close knit and friendly team at Dorset Foods in Shaftesbury on a permanent basis.
This role is designed for the right candidate to undergo an extensive full training programme leading to a potential increased rate of pay.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY'S:
To complete scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requirements to CIC's (Cleaning Instruction Cards) standard.
To maintain daily cleaning sign off records if required for your department ensuring correct and accurate completion.
To work in a manner that promotes due care for yourself and work colleagues.
To work with Chemicals as instructed by the Hygiene LPL/ Manager.
To complete all Hygiene Operations in accordance with Health & Safety (including COSSH), Product Safety, and Legality and Quality requirements.
To ensure that a proactive approach is made towards Hygiene requirements via inter departmental communication, self auditing and striving to be multi skilled.
To wear PPE correctly at all times, hair net, safety shoes/boots, overalls, gloves, etc.
Promote clean as you go & work to these standards daily.
KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Understanding and appreciation of Food Industry Hygiene standards
Good team player but able to work individually. Self motivated
Be Aware of Company standards, expectations and treat others with dignity and respect.
Ability to complete tasks thoroughly in tight timescales
Chemical handling certificate (will be trained)
Basic Food Hygiene
Excellent understanding of Spoken and written English
Shift pattern:
For the purpose of training requirements this role will be 10pm-6am Monday - Friday, moving to 10pm-6am Sunday - Thursday after the completion of the training and development programme.
The rate of pay begins at £8.89 per hour +£65 weekly additional allowance.
