We are hiring meter readers in your postcode now. No experience required. Full-time work close to home in an active outdoor role with a flexible schedule.

Role Overview

  • Collect data from gas, electricity and water meters at commercial and residential properties
  • Record reads accurately on a handheld device throughout the day
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop
  • Inspect metering equipment and perform charge point surveys
  • Work independently with drive and motivation

What You’ll Need

  • A full UK driving licence held for at least one year, with no more than three penalty points and no drink-driving offences
  • Physically fit: able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs and walk 6–7 miles a day
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Clear DBS check with no unspent convictions and a clean credit report (no CCJs, IVAs or DROs in the last six years)
  • Customer service experience preferred but not essential

One week of combined classroom and field training with an experienced meter reader, so you see the role from start to finish before going solo.
