Gi Group UK has achieved its best month on record despite economic uncertainty, rising unemployment and technological disruption. The company secured six new on-site clients throughout June.
Gi Group UK is one of the UK’s leading HR and recruitment specialists. It supports businesses across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and food and drink.
However, the recruitment industry continues to face what Managing Director Andy Carpenter describes as the “toughest times in modern recruitment”. Despite these challenges, Andy believes the company’s recent success marks an exciting new chapter.
Best Month on Record for Gi Group
Andy said:
“There is no denying that the current UK climate has created a prolonged period of change in modern recruitment.
“I’ve worked in this industry for 30 years. During that time, I’ve managed the financial crash, COVID-19, unemployment, hybrid working, Brexit and much more. However, I have never experienced such a challenging period of uncertainty.
“Despite the ongoing challenges, we’re pleased to have achieved our best month on record. We secured an impressive six on-site client wins throughout June.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for Gi Group. We continue to be agile in a difficult market.
“Our new clients range from a global food manufacturer to an international e-commerce platform. In addition, we will support a global leader in pet nutrition.”
More Than 1,000 UK Job Opportunities
The latest Office for National Statistics data shows that UK payrolled employee estimates fell by 138,000 between April 2025 and April 2026.
In May 2026, the number of payrolled employees decreased by 0.4% over the year. However, it remained largely unchanged over the month. The figure increased by just 2,000 to 30.3 million.
Following its recent client wins, Gi Group has increased its client base by more than 10% in 2026. As a result, this growth will create more than 1,000 job opportunities throughout the UK.
Andy added:
“As we focus on scaling our customer base, securing contracts with leading household names is a fantastic win for our team.
“We will support each new client with multiple on-site opportunities. As a result, we expect to create more than 1,000 new opportunities in the UK labour market.
“These wins offer a change in momentum. They also provide a new perspective on our working model.
“Gone are the days when businesses could maintain the same model and simply hope for the best. Instead, we’re living through constant change. Therefore, businesses need a growth mindset and a clear focus on profitability.”
Supporting Clients Across Specialist Sectors
Gi Group has vast experience in the manufacturing and pet sectors served by its new clients. This expertise has supported the company’s record growth.
The business’s approach is centred on growth. In addition, Gi Group remains committed to increasing its service capabilities.
Its new client sites are split across the North and South of the country. Consequently, they will provide much-needed job opportunities throughout the UK.
Best Month on Record Supports Future Growth
The recruitment specialist also has ambitious plans for the future. In particular, it hopes to help level up access to employment across the country.
Gi Group’s latest client wins mark the beginning of this mission. They also demonstrate the company’s ability to grow during difficult market conditions.
Its best month on record represents a significant milestone for the business. Moreover, it will help Gi Group provide new employment opportunities across the country.
