Gi Group UK are proud to announce the extension of our partnership with award-winning training provider DBC Training. This enables us to continue offering funding for apprenticeship training programmes for businesses across the Midlands. The partnership first launched in December 2019, and together we have already supported 44 local businesses to recruit, train and develop 71 apprentices.
Our increased funding commitment represents a total skills investment of more than £500,000 in Midlands-based businesses, residents and communities. This year has been a tough year for local businesses, so we are even more dedicated to providing the access they need to the right training and development for their employees.
Gi Group’s Managing Director UK Operations, Paul Smith said: “Gi Group is a socially responsible business with a focus on enhancement of the employment market and the apprenticeship levy transfer scheme represents a key part of our Corporate Social Responsibility framework. Working in partnership with DBC Training, we are proud to sponsor businesses to access and fund apprenticeships, and to help them develop and grow by creating skilled and productive workforces.”
DBC Training’s Managing Director, Kerry Bentley said: “We are delighted to build on our longstanding partnership with Gi Group and extend funding to more SMEs across our region to recruit and train apprentices. It is particularly crucial at this challenging time for many small businesses. We are passionate about apprenticeships and access to fully-funded programmes will help unlock the potential of the region’s businesses and residents”.
The scheme, in partnership with DBC training, is open to local businesses across the Midlands, to help them fund investment in professional learning and development programmes for existing employees looking to develop their career or for new employees starting their career journey.
