Purchasing Admin - Andover (Fully Onsite)
A well-established business in Andover is looking for a Purchasing Admin to support the Purchasing Manager and help manage the day-to-day running of the purchasing department. You'll assist with sourcing and ordering supplies, materials and components, ensuring the right balance of price, quality and on-time delivery, while maintaining accurate records and strong supplier relationships.
Salary
£26,500 per annum
Working hours
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
- Fully onsite in Andover

Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the Purchasing Manager
- Help manage the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department
- Ensure supplies/materials/components are fit for purpose, consistent and meet internal/external requirements
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships through regular communication
- Arrange product samples for relevant product areas
- Purchase parts/materials at competitive prices and ensure on-time delivery
- Manage monthly call-offs
- Progress orders and resolve supplier queries
- Book-in purchase orders and deliveries
- Manage supplier returns paperwork, liaising with the accounts team where required
- Update product records as needed
- Assist with stock adjustments following daily stock checks
- Support the team in establishing and maintaining quality requirements from external suppliers

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with analytical/problem-solving ability
- Excellent planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise effectively
- Confident working on your own initiative with a desire to make a difference
- IT literate with a good standard of general education
