Manufacturing Technician

Contract: Temporary - 6 months
Monday to Friday
08:00 - 16:30
Pay rate: £13.81 per hour
We're recruiting a Manufacturing Technician to join our client's QC Testing team within the Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham. This is a hands-on laboratory-based role where you'll complete QC testing on components and finished products using automated analysers, ensuring diagnostic products meet required quality and performance standards. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset.

Manufacturing Technician Pay Rate:
£13.81 per hour
Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities:
- Independently manage your workload against a published plan
- Manage inventory to ensure materials are available and correctly transacted to complete assigned work
- Own and perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, area, or function
- Complete QC testing of components and finished products using a range of automated analysers
- Carry out data and process-checking activities to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Troubleshoot issues and suggest mitigation measures
- Proactively identify and implement improvement initiatives
Manufacturing Technician Requirements:
- Educated to GCSE level with minimum 1 year's relevant experience, or a relevant degree
- Essential: Previous experience in a laboratory environment
- Strong documentation/communication/digital literacy
- Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Computer literate, including MS Excel
- Practical understanding of units of measurement and basic maths
- Comfortable using PPE and handling solutions/chemicals
