Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: From £12.71 per hour (starting rate)
The Company
We are the UK's market leader in electropolishing and chemical surface treatment processes, supporting customers with high-quality finishing solutions across a range of industries.
The Role
We're looking for a Metal Finishing Operative to join our production team. Reporting to the Production Manager/Supervisor, you'll support day-to-day metal finishing operations, including pickling, electropolishing, inspection, packing, dispatch, and supporting tasks such as fork truck driving, onsite work, and relief chemical mixing when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming customer work and raw materials from drivers
- Load products/work for dispatch and complete relevant paperwork
- Carry out pre-treatment where required
- Prepare and load work for processing
- Set processing parameters
- Perform cleaning, pickling, passivating and electropolishing processes
- Complete all necessary post-treatments
- Ensure work is dried, inspected and packed to the required quality standards
- Store raw materials as needed
- Mix products in line with mixing instructions and orders
- Decant chemical mixes for storage or dispatch
- Carry out onsite duties when required (may include overnight stays)
- Support general duties as required by the management team
What we're looking for
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production/processing environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Able to follow procedures and paperwork accurately
- Willingness to support onsite work when needed (including occasional overnight stays)
- Fork truck experience is beneficial (training may be available depending on requirements)
