Laboratory Technician
Location: Dartford, DA2
Contract: Temporary
Shift: Monday - Friday Dayshift, 37.5 hours per week
Pay rate: £14.14 per hour
The Laboratory Technician will be working within a manufacturing laboratory, preparing reagents and intermediates and carrying out testing using SOPs and production documentation. You'll ensure products meet performance specifications and GMP standards, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Full training will be provided by an experienced team-this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in science and manufacturing.
Laboratory Technician Shifts & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 - 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)
- £14.14 per hour
Laboratory Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and test intermediates and final reagents in line with SOPs and production documentation.
- Handle microorganisms for use in testing.
- Operate semi-automated equipment used in production processes.
- Assist with packing of intermediates.
- Manage stock levels for assigned product ranges.
- Maintain product quality, complete documentation accurately, and ensure GMP standards are met.
- Complete SAP transactions for work performed and support inventory control.
- Escalate any health & safety or quality concerns to the Senior Technician.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects within your skill set.
Laboratory Technician Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Ability to work at pace while maintaining safe working practices and product quality.
- Honest, clear written and verbal communication.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or laboratory environment (preferred).
Desirable
- Experience working in a GMP/GLP environment.
- Experience using SAP and supporting inventory management.
- Strong teamworking skills with ability to take individual responsibility.
- Problem-solving skills.
