Warehouse Operative
Location: RH19
Contract: 3‑month contract
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in life sciences, for a Warehouse Operative. In this position, you'll play a key role in the daily production of microbiological diagnostic products, by dispensing, drying, packaging and labelling items within a controlled clean area. Your work will help deliver critical solutions for infectious disease diagnosis and bacterial contamination detection, supporting public health and safety.
Warehouse Operative Shifts:
- Monday - Thursday 8.15am to 5pm, Friday 8.15am to 3pm
Warehouse Operative Rate of Pay:
- £13.46 per hour
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance and reach trucks) safely and in line with training
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Pick, pack, label and load shipments in line with procedures
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date filing system
- Organise and segregate finished product storage areas
- Manage Goods In/Out and deliver materials to the correct recipients
- Ensure all materials are stored correctly and safely
- Generate shipping documents (e.g. invoices, Certificates of Origin)
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile variances
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
Warehouse Operative Requirements:
- FLT, Counterbalance and Reach licence
- Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused approach
- Good organisation skills and the ability to work to daily production targets
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
