Counterbalance/Reach Forklift Driver at Grimsby, Lincolnshire

We're currently recruiting a Counterbalance / Reach Forklift Driver to join a busy coldstore operation in Grimsby. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering steady hours, shift allowance, and overtime at enhanced rates.

Pay & Benefits

• £14.23 per hour
• + £1.05 per hour shift allowance (paid when all shifts in the week are completed)
• Overtime available - paid at x1.5
• PPE provided (suitable for a coldstore environment)

Working Days & Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• Alternating shifts weekly:06:00-14:00
• 14:00-22:00

The Role

Working within a -20°C coldstore environment, duties will typically include:

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading/unloading goods and moving stock around site
• Putting away stock into racking locations.
• Supporting despatch/goods-in activities as required
• Completing basic paperwork / scanner work (where applicable)
• Maintaining housekeeping and following site health & safety rules at all times

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance AND Reach FLT licences (essential)
• PPT licence is an advantage but not essential
• Coldstore experience preferred (or willingness to work in a freezer environment)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts
• Flexibility for overtime when required
• Strong awareness of health & safety and safe FLT operation

Contract Type

• Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate (based on performance, attendance, and business requirements)
