Grounds Maintenance Operative

£15.20per hour | Full time Mon-Fri | Temporary until October 2026

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our operational team on an agency basis until October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards across public open spaces and landscaped environments.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services, ensuring outdoor areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and presentable condition throughout the season.

Shifts & Hours

* 6 AM - till finish (Up to 8 hours a day)

Key Responsibilities

* Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on machinery

* Strimming and edging of grassed areas

* Hedge cutting and general shrub maintenance

* Litter picking and clearing of public spaces

* General grounds and landscape maintenance duties

* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently

* Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices

* Working effectively as part of a team and following supervisor instructions

* Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment in good working order

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or a similar outdoor role preferred

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

* Good understanding of safe working practices

* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Positive and flexible approach to work

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

* Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery and equipment

* Relevant qualifications, certificates, or machinery tickets

* Full UK driving licence
