Job Title: Engagement Officer

GI Group is recruiting on-site Engagement Officers to support a public sector organisation in Oxford. This is a frontline, non-digital operational role focused on resident engagement, case support and accurate record keeping, helping to ensure work progresses smoothly and in line with required procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver face-to-face engagement with residents, including inductions, providing information and completing required documentation.
· Identify and support vulnerable individuals, working with relevant teams and signposting to appropriate services.
· Act as an on-site point of contact, liaising with internal teams and partner stakeholders to support progress and resolve queries.
· Maintain accurate, timely records of interactions and updates on IT systems to support reporting and case progression.
· Work safely and professionally, following security, safeguarding and confidentiality requirements at all times.
· Provide general administrative support (e.g., inbox management, answering phone calls) and escalate issues where appropriate.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Leadership potential and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
· Flexibility, adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
· Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
· High attention to detail and confidence maintaining accurate records.
Training / Requirements
· Personal Safety Training Level 2 and SPEAR training
· Ability to meet enhanced background checking requirements (details shared during the recruitment process)
Working Pattern (Shift Working - Full Flexibility Required)
This role requires full flexibility. Candidates must be available for all scheduled shifts and cannot select preferred shifts.
Shift pattern:
· 7.4-hour shifts
· Rota covers 07:00-20:00 (Monday to Friday)
· Rota covers 09:00-17:00 (Saturday and Sunday)
· 1 in 3 weekends required (both Saturday and Sunday)
