Welder / Fabricator - Press Brake & Laser Cutter

Location: Pocklington
Pay: £16.50 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Permanent
Overtime: Available at 1.5x

Overview

A well‑established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a small workshop team producing high‑quality sheet‑metal components. This role requires strong fabrication skills, confidence operating a press brake, and experience using a laser cutter. You will work in a modern workshop environment supporting wider manufacturing operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Operate the press brake to form and shape sheet‑metal components
• Use a laser cutter (Trumpf or similar) for cutting and profiling parts
• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard across various fabrication tasks
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Support wider manufacturing tasks when required

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator
• Competent in press brake operation
• Experience using a laser cutter
• Strong MIG welding ability
• Good understanding of fabrication and sheet‑metal processes
• Ability to work independently within a small team
• Reliable, organised and safety‑focused
