Class 1 Driver at Slough, Berkshire

Gi Group are looking for reliable and motivated HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing work with a carrier company based in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for ongoing and consistent work

HGV Class 1 Driver - Slough

Pay: £21.99 per hour for hours worked between 0800 - 1900

£25.13 paid for hours worked between 1900 - 0800

* These rates are inclusive of holiday pay

Shifts / Start times:

Tues to Sat - 0200 or 0500 starts

Mon to Fri - 0200 / 0500 / 1800 / 2000 / 2100 / 2300 starts

Your Responsibilities as a HGV Class 1 Driver:

* Trunking to hubs & depots

* Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism during deliveries

* Perform vehicle checks and ensure the van is in safe working order.

What You'll Need as a HGV Class 1 Driver:

* A valid UK, in-date HGV Class 1 License along with CPC & Digi

* Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 Driving is required

* No more than 6 SP penalty points accepted (no BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements)

* Able to provide 5 years of work / education history for security clearance

* DBS check required (can be provided but may take up to two weeks)

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

* Good customer service skills and a safety-focused approach
