Role Overview
Working at the end of the production line within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role involves packing finished products, quality checking, and preparing products for dispatch while maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Duties
- Packing finished products at the end of the production line.
- Quality checking products before packing.
- Stacking and palletising finished goods.
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy.
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Reporting any product or machinery issues to the supervisor.
- Supporting the production team with general duties as required.
- Manual handling as part of the role.
Requirements
- Previous production or food manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable with good timekeeping.
- Comfortable with manual work and standing for long periods.
Shift Pattern
AM Shift
Monday to Saturday
06:00 - 14:30
30-minute unpaid break
Standard working week is 5 days, with the opportunity to work 6 days where available.
PM Shift
Monday to Saturday
14:00 - 22:30
30-minute unpaid break
Fixed shift pattern.
Standard working week is 5 days, with the opportunity to work 6 days where available.
Pay Rates
End of Line Operative: £12.71 per hour
Production/Machine Operative: £13.00 per hour (where the client moves an employee into a skilled role)
