Join a leading Aerospace & Defence innovator in Southampton as an experienced Manufacturing Technician. You'll play a key role in producing high‑precision components used in cutting‑edge electro‑optic systems, working in a clean, modern, and highly controlled environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Precision and micro‑assembly using hand tools, microscopes, and specialist fixtures
- Testing and inspection of electro‑optic and electronic components
- Handling small, delicate, and high‑tolerance parts with accuracy
- Following detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
- Completing production documentation and reporting issues clearly
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work area
What You'll Bring
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
- Confident manual dexterity and fine motor control
- Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Optics, or Semiconductor manufacturing
- Cleanroom or controlled‑environment work
- SAP ERP knowledge
Working Environment
- Modern Aerospace & Defence manufacturing facility
- Controlled‑temperature or cleanroom areas (role‑dependent)
- Repetitive fine‑motor tasks with periods of sitting or standing
Additional Information
Due to project requirements, this role is open to sole UK nationals only. Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
