Job Title: Engagement Officer

GI Group is recruiting on-site Engagement Officers to support a public sector organisation in Strathaven. This is a non-digital role and requires confident face-to-face communication, accurate record keeping and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct face-to-face engagement with residents, including inductions and assessments.
· Explain options and outline the consequences of non-compliance.
· Identify, record and manage vulnerability indicators in line with policy.
· Engage regularly with onsite suppliers and key stakeholders.
· Provide case updates and manage a portfolio of residents.
· Record interactions accurately on IT systems in a timely manner and share feedback with caseworkers.
· Support management reporting and complete general administration (e.g., inbox management, answering calls).
· Escalate issues appropriately and promptly to management/other relevant teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrable leadership potential and ability to handle testing situations.
· Flexible, adaptable and solutions-focused.
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Training / Requirements
· Personal Safety Training Level 2 and SPEAR training
· Enhanced DBS (non-barred) / Disclosure Scotland Enhanced (non-barred)
Working Pattern (Shift Working - Full Flexibility Required)
This role requires full flexibility. Candidates must be available for all scheduled shifts and cannot select preferred shifts.
Shift pattern:
· 7.4-hour shifts
· Rota covers 07:00-20:00 (Monday to Friday)
· Rota covers 09:00-17:00 (Saturday and Sunday)
· 1 in 3 weekends required (both Saturday and Sunday)
Please note: there is no public transport to this site, so you will need to drive. The building is an older property with no lifts, so you will need to use stairs several times a day.
