General Operative

We are recruiting a General Operative to join our client's Laboratory/Production team in Swindon. This is a great opportunity to build experience in a regulated, high-quality environment with ongoing training, development and progression.
As a General Operative, you will support production processes and documentation standards to ensure work is completed safely, accurately and to the highest quality.
General Operative Pay rate/Shift:
- £13.86 per hours 22% shift allowance
- Monday - Friday
- Rotating shift: Week 1 07:00-15:00, Week 2 15:00-22:45
General Operative Responsibilities include:
- Complete training to gain/maintain a Bronze Licence Badge (Grade C/D access)
- Support materials handling, stock control (incl. expiry checks)
- Cleaning and basic area/equipment upkeep to SOPs & cGMP
- Packaging, labelling and line end activities
- Environmental/particulate monitoring (Grade C/D)
- Accurate documentation in line with Data Integrity
- Escalate non-conformances to Team Lead/Manager/QA
General Operative skills & behaviours:
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset (patient/customer focus)
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs and production schedules
- Clear communication and ability to raise concerns promptly
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to stay focused for long periods
- Methodical, organised and a self-starter
- Good manual dexterity
- Physically fit: able to lift up to 15kg and stand for sustained periods (reasonable adjustments considered; confirmed via Occupational Health after conditional offer)
General Operative GMP rules (must comply):
- No jewellery (except plain band), no cosmetics/false nails/lashes, and you must declare any cuts/skin issues or medical devices in advance.
