General Operator
Location: Swindon, SN3
Shift times: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00 or 15:00 - 23:00 (rotational)
Pay rate: £13.86 per hour + 22% shift allowance
Contract: 6 months
As a General Operator, you'll support manual packing operations in a regulated cleanroom environment, ensuring products are packed correctly and all work is completed in line with cGMP, SOPs and data integrity requirements. You'll work closely with a team that values quality, performance and innovation.
General Operator Shifts & Pay:
- Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 07:00-15:00 or 15:00-23:00
- Pay: £13.86 per hour + 22% shift allowance (£16.90 per hour)
General Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Follow area SOPs for correct manual packing of product-filled vials.
- Follow SOPs for correct gowning and cleaning of the packing area (cleanroom standards).
- Assist with materials handling, including transferring materials into the packing area.
- Ensure stocks required for production are maintained and within expiry date.
- Complete cleaning and basic maintenance of area/equipment to SOPs, cGMP and regulatory standards.
- Support line activities including packaging, labelling, line end run-off and in-process weight checks.
- Escalate and support investigation of non-conformances with Area Leader/Manager/QA.
- Complete documentation accurately in line with Data Integrity principles, SOPs and training.
- Attend and support day-to-day operational activity as required.
General Operator Skills & Experience:
Essential
- GCSE-level Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Ability to maintain high concentration over extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Basic understanding of GMP/GDP/Data Integrity (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Self-driven and reliable in a process-led environment.
Desirable
- Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated production/manufacturing environments.
