Warehouse Team leader
Halesfield
Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm ( flexibility required ocassionally)
£14ph
Responsibilities:
- Follows all warehouse and shipping procedures.
- Ensures that all the Warehouse equipment is maintained and that equipment service checks are up to date including all FLT whilst ensuring that all housekeeping rules are applied in the Warehouse areas.
- Ensures that the health & safety practices are in place and followed ensuring that all personnel are following procedures.
- Ensures that all inventory control procedures are maintained on the company operating software.
- To ensure that the areas for dangerous chemicals are managed.
- To ensure that part-bag storage is managed.
- All FG and RM in the warehouse area are identifiable, labelled with item number and lot numbers including quantities whilst ensuring that FIFO is followed.
- Responsible for ensuring that all work orders are picked accurately and in a timely manner to ensure there is no disruption to the flow of production.
- All returned raw materials are managed, identified and stored correctly.
- Manage the stock adjustments after receiving confirmation from the Plant Manager
- Manage the shipping requests for all Customers, ensuring the picks are correct products and lot numbers.
- Manage the shipping on the company operating system.
- Coordinates with external suppliers to ensure shipping is completed.
- Hold daily meetings with the Warehouse operator, communicating effectively.
- Attend the monthly KPI meetings on site. Complete the site KPI file for the department and bring all relevant reports to the meeting. Present any difficulties or opportunities for improvement in the Warehouse either with the people and or equipment including performance related issues.
- Keep your team up to date with the business needs.
- Ensures that the Warehouse operators receive appropriate training and explanations in order for them to be competent to complete the tasks and also provide back up of his role if they are not available.
- Ensure all training records / documentation are completed documents to the HR department.
- To ensure that all PPE is supplied to all site personnel and that personnel are wearing correct PPE fit for task
- To manage the stock situation of the PPE ensuring stock is at the correct level.
- In this role communicate, support and provide assistance to all departments
Experience required:
- Previous experience in Warehouse / Shipping environment team leader role.
- FLT counterbalance / Reach truck license holder.
- IT and communication skills.
- Good level of English and Math's.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with minimum supervion
- Proven organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Self-organization and attention to details
- Solutions and results orientated
- Team Player.
- Ethical.
- Knowledge of how to control and manage material stocks and products.
- Ability to communicate health & safety risks to the site people.
- Managing leadership skills, showing commitment and co-operation
- The Warehouse team leader must maintain confidentiality with regard to the Warehouse files and data and any other information related to the business.
