Experienced Loading Shovel / Excavator Driver

Join our team as a Loading Shovel Driver / Excavator at our busy waste recycling site and play a key role in keeping our operation running smoothly.

Hours - Flexible

• Monday to Friday
• Flexible hours to suit
• Occasional Overtime opportunity

Salary:

• £15.85ph

Location:

YO23 - YORK

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading: Operate the loading shovel to efficiently move waste from one bay to another bay, please note this is a very repetitive role.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow company health and safety policy and adhere to safe working procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
• Equipment Checks: Carry out daily pre-use checks and routine inspections to maintain machinery in good working order.
• General Site & Machinery Maintenance: Support the upkeep of site machinery and yard cleanliness as required.

Required Experience:

• Own transport required (site is not accessible by public transport).
• Experience operating a loading shovel or excavator (Ideal candidate to have experience working in a waste / recycling site)
• Accredited machine tickets
• Experience of working in waste management or farm contracting.
