This Easter, Gi Group businesses and branches across the country donated hundreds of necessities to local foodbanks and homeless shelters for our annual Easter charity appeal.
With staff, candidates and clients generously donating items ranging from food to toiletries, Gi Group have been able to support the local communities in which it operates by supporting people in need, making a difference to their daily lives.
Supported by all four of Gi Group UK’s brands, Gi Group, Marks Sattin, TACK and INTOO, our annual appeal focuses on giving back to disadvantaged people living in the local communities where we carry out our work – performing recruitment and personnel services for clients and enhancing the job seeking experience and employability of our candidates.
Commenting on Gi Group’s Big Easter Appeal, CEO Bev White said:
“I am immensely proud of everyone who supported this initiative. As a national organisation we want to ensure that we take an active role in proactively supporting the local communities in which we are present, but importantly supporting in a way that meets the needs of these local communities. This year’s Big Easter Appeal was one of the most successful appeals to date, with candidates, employees and our clients really getting behind it.”
Highlighting the importance of this appeal, one of the beneficiaries – the Clifton NG11 foodbank based in Nottingham said:
“We just wanted to write to you to express our gratitude for your support towards the Foodbank, your donations will help in more ways that you can know and we are extremely grateful.
As we continue to grow, we do so because, with the support from people like yourselves, we have been able to support, feed and treat vulnerable people in Clifton and other areas of Nottingham including Wilford, Ruddington and West Bridgford communities; as well as helping organisations such as the Refugee Centre, several soup kitchens and the homeless.
2019 marks the 9th year that the Gi Group Easter Appeal has successfully helped vulnerable people throughout the country, and has become a fundamental part of our ongoing company-wide commitment to corporate social responsibility which aims to improve the prospects and lives of those in the communities in which it operates.
