Continuing to create safe environments for all employees
Today marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work. At Gi Group UK we have always taken a proactive approach to health and safety. We are fully committed to creating safe working environments for all of our employees, protecting their safety and wellbeing. Historically this has involved carrying out a full risk assessment for every role that a permanent or flexible employee is asked to perform and ensuring that adequate training is in place. However, like many businesses throughout 2020 and continuing into 2021, the focus of health and safety teams has had to change quickly to include creating COVID-19 safe environments for our employees.
Both at a on a global and local level, we have and will continue to work closely with our customers to design and implement COVID-19 prevention initiatives to ensure that our employees remain fit and healthy. Our health and safety teams have worked tirelessly to develop safety guidelines, training programmes and communications flows so that everyone, regardless of their role, feels supported and equipped to undertake their job in a safe manner.
Today, our commitment to protecting the health, safety and overall wellbeing of our employees remains a critical business focus and we continue to work to ensure that every threat and risk that could have an impact on our employees is minimised; from the risk of transmission of the virus in workplaces, to occupational safety and health risks that have emerged as a result of measures to mitigate the spread of the virus.
So, on World Day for Safety and Health at work, we want express our thanks to all of our employees who have made such an enormous contribution, and to shine the spotlight on Health & Safety teams across the world who continue to play an integral role in keeping us all safe.
