Gi Group is recruiting for a Manufacturing Operator to join a dynamic production team in Basingstoke. This role involves operating production lines, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include equipment operation, materials handling, packaging, quality checks, and accurate completion of production paperwork.
Manufacturing Operator working hours:
- Rotating Shifts (Mon–Fri 6:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00)
Manufacturing Operator salary:
- £13.79/hr
Manufacturing Operator Key Duties:
- Operate equipment and perform production tasks per SOPs.
- Complete production documentation; record weights, times, dates, etc.
- Set up materials, inspect products, package and label goods.
- Maintain clean work areas, follow safety protocols, and use PPE.
- Support daily production targets and collaborate with the team.
Manufacturing Operator Requirements:
- Secondary Education or equivalent.
- Experience in a lab/manufacturing setting or relevant training.
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
- Ability to follow instructions, adapt to changing priorities, and work as part of a team.
- Comfortable with physically active work, including occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Experience with lithographic printing beneficial, not essential.
