Gi Group is recruiting Material Handlers on behalf of a leading company dedicated to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. About the Material Handler Role:

As a Material Handler, your main responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles, and efficiently picking and packing national and international orders. You will also work with chilled (2–3°C) and frozen (-21°C) shipments, ensuring all materials are handled safely and accurately in line with Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD) standards.

Material Handler Working hours:

• Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts (Week 1: 6:00–14:00, Week 2: 14:00–22:00)

Material Handler Salary:

• Base pay: £13.46 per hour
• Shift allowance: 20% 
• Total hourly pay: £13.46 + £2.69 = £16.15 per hour

Key Tasks for the Material Handler:

• Load and unload vehicles in the warehouse
• Pick and pack orders for UK and international customers
• Work occasionally in chilled (2–3°C) and freezer (-21°C) areas
• Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment
• Update systems to keep stock records accurate

What You Need as a Material Handler:

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to lift up to 20kg and work on your feet most of the day
• Comfortable working in cold environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and willingness to learn
