Machine Operative

We are currently looking for a Machine Operative for our client in Northampton.

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 0600 - 1615

Location: Northampton, NN4

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Operative:

• Operating a wide range of machines as trained
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Loading and unloading machines efficiently and safely
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults
• Completing all safety checks prior to operating the machines and recording appropriately
• Ensuring quality checks are carried out at appropriate intervals and reporting any issues or concerns
• Ability to correctly use and read a range of quality checking equipment
• Emptying the machines in a safe manner
• Returning any quality checking equipment once a job has finished
• General housekeeping, ensuring work area is free from swarf and oils

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience within the manufacturing industry
• Keen knowledge of blueprints and measurements
• Able to communicate between different departments
• Running fault reports
