Job Title: Chef de Partie

Location: Chesterfield, S44 5BL
Salary: £13.18 ph
Contract: Temporary role – initially 3 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm
GI Group are now seeking an experience Chef de Partie for our Public Sector client.
The Chef de Partie will support the catering team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
The role focuses on food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu requirements and dietary standards.
· Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards following statutory guidelines.
· Ensure accurate portion control and minimisation of food waste.
· Managing ordering, stock control, and kitchen admin when required.
· Foster a positive work environment, encouraging communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
PERSON SPECIFICIATION:
· Relevant culinary qualification eg NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation or equivalent.
· Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum)
· Allergen Awareness training (desirable)
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
