Pay Rate: £15.18 per hour
Hours: 6am-6pm - 4 on 4 off rotation
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension or conversion)
Start Date: ASAP
Overtime: Potentially available
Dress Code: casual clothing. Hi Viz and safety boots provided.

Are you a reliable, detail-oriented candidate seeking your next opportunity? Do you have experience in cleaning and take pride in maintaining high standards? Gi Group is recruiting enthusiastic Cleaners/Janitors to join a leading facility in Cramlington.

The Role:
As a Cleaner/Janitor, you'll play a key part in keeping our client's site in top condition, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-presented for staff and visitors. You will be responsible for:
* Daily cleaning of labs, washrooms, offices, hallways, and cafeteria areas
* Providing waste disposal and recycling services
* General upkeep including dusting, window cleaning, and polishing fixtures
* Responding to customer requests for cleaning, waste, moving, replacement of lights, etc.
* Completing facility projects, such as stripping and waxing floors, and cleaning air diffusers
* Exterior maintenance including litter picking, sweeping walkways, and snow/ice clearance
* Replenishing dispensers (paper, soap, and production garments)
* Maintaining inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
* Supporting with porter duties such as moving boxes, furniture, and workstations
* Other duties as required

About You:
We're seeking committed individuals with experience in cleaning or a maintenance environment. You will need to be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Good communication skills (spoken and written)
* The flexibility to work shifts (B pattern: 4 on, 4 off)
* The ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in English
* A positive, solution-focused attitude
* An understanding of working in a pharmaceutical or food processing environment (Desirable)
* Awareness of Health & Safety and manual handling

Physical Requirements:
* Some tasks are routine/repetitive; the role may involve exposure to dust, mild fumes, or temperature changes
* Occasional movement of furniture/boxes; general porter duties
* Mainly indoor work with some exterior duties as required
