Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join our client in Derby. The role will involve the fabrication and welding of bespoke metal and architectural components.

Duties:

·      Fabricate metal structures from scratch

·      Both MIG and TIG welding

·      Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

·      Completing multi-pass and positional welding on mild steel up to 25mm

·      Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotines, press brakes, rollers, and grinders

·      Measure, cut, and assemble steel and other metals to exact tolerances

·      Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications

·      The occasional working away may be required

Experience Required:

·      Strong fabrication experience ideally in a heavy engineering environment

·      Experience with different welding techniques including MIG and TIG

·      Ability to work from detailed technical drawings

·      Confident with various metals and fabrication techniques
