Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Elsham
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – Midnight
Pay Rate: £14.54 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Start Date: Immediate (subject to successful interview)
Role Overview:
We are recruiting for a Machine Operator to join the production team at a manufacturing facility in Elsham. This role requires operating production machinery efficiently and safely, maintaining product quality, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Your primary focus will be ensuring smooth operation of equipment throughout your shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery, adjusting settings as needed for optimal performance
- Maintain consistent throughput while meeting quality standards
- Carry out routine maintenance checks and report any technical issues promptly
- Keep accurate records of production data
- Inspect products for quality and report defects or non-conformances
- Follow safety procedures; wear provided safety shoes at all times
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining machinery and work area
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors
- Adhere to company policies, process guidelines, and hygiene standards specific to food manufacturing
Person Specification:
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (food sector advantageous)
- Ability to follow procedures, troubleshoot issues, and maintain attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working the designated shift hours (2pm till midnight, Monday–Thursday)
- Reliable with a proactive attitude
