Engineer Shift Leader
Location: Stafford
Salary: Circa £55,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shifts (rotating days and nights to support a 24/7 operation)
Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for leadership and innovation? We're looking for an Engineer Shift Leader to join our dynamic team at our Stafford site.
About the Role
As an Engineer Shift Leader, you'll lead a team of Engineering Technicians and Assistants, ensuring operational uptime and delivering technical projects that keep our fulfilment centre running smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll provide technical guidance, drive continuous improvement, and maintain safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of Engineering Technicians and Assistants.
* Manage and execute the Pre-Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
* Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement.
* Maintain and optimise the Fix System for issue resolution.
* Design, develop, and deploy engineering solutions.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
* Drive continuous improvement and system performance enhancements.
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Civil, or similar).
* 7+ years' engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
* Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies.
Desirable:
* Experience in retail or fulfilment environments.
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Familiarity with system architecture and scalability.
