Overview
Gi Group Recruitment is partnering with a progressive and design-led architectural practice to appoint an Onsite Residential Team Lead. This is a senior role within a well-established team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of significant residential developments and play a key part in shaping delivery standards across the business.
This position is suited to an experienced professional who is confident leading projects, managing teams, and engaging directly with clients and contractors, while maintaining a strong focus on technical quality and efficient delivery onsite.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of residential projects, from early design stages through to completion onsite
- Take ownership of project performance, ensuring quality, programme, and technical standards are consistently met
- Act as the key interface between clients, consultants, and contractors
- Lead and mentor a team of architects and technologists, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards
- Oversee planning and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with Irish building regulations and local authority requirements
- Drive coordination across multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth and efficient project execution
- Review and sign off on drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Maintain design integrity throughout the construction phase
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and delivery standards
About You
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in architectural practice, with a strong residential portfolio
- Degree qualified in Architecture or Architectural Technology (or equivalent)
- Registered Architect (RIAI or equivalent) preferred, though strong senior technologists will also be considered
- Proven track record of leading projects and managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical expertise in residential construction and detailing
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-unit housing, apartment schemes, or large-scale residential developments
- Highly proficient in Revit (essential), with the ability to lead BIM coordination and enforce standards
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (essential)
- Confident reviewing and coordinating full drawing packages
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively
- Comfortable operating in an onsite-focused role, working closely with contractors
