Warehouse Operative (Picker/Packer)

Location: Shore Rd, Gateshead, NE8 3AE

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 10:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Thursday (additional hours regularly available)

Contract: Ongoing Temporary

Start Date: 16/03/26

Are you looking for flexible, ongoing warehouse work in Gateshead? Our client, a leader in the supply of goods, is seeking reliable Warehouse Operatives (Pickers/Packers) to join their busy team. This role offers regular hours with the opportunity for additional shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and pack orders ready for dispatch
• Ensure all items are correctly labelled and prepared for shipment
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (full training provided)
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
• Assist in loading/unloading delivery vehicles as required
• Follow all health & safety procedures

Person Specification:

• Previous experience in warehouse operative, picking or packing roles preferred but not essential
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
