Production Operative - Fish Processing (Production Line)

Location, rate & hours

• Grimsby
• Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 06:00-15:00

Summary

• General production-line role in a fish-processing facility. Carry out assigned tasks to support throughput, quality and food-safety compliance. On-the-job training provided.

Key duties

• Perform tasks such as packing, weighing, portioning, tray filling and simple machine tending.
• Monitor product quality and remove/reject non-conforming items.
• Maintain line speed and assist with changeovers as required.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene, traceability and PPE procedures.
• Clean and sanitise work area during and at end of shift.
• Complete basic production records (counts, checks).

Requirements

• Previous food production experience advantageous but not essential; training available.
• Comfortable working in chilled conditions and standing for the full shift.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail.
• Team player with good reliability and timekeeping.
• Right to work in the UK.

Working conditions & safety

• Cold, humid environment typical of fish processing.
• Repetitive tasks; PPE required and provided.
• Strict adherence to safety and hygiene procedures.
