Are you methodical, hands-on, and passionate about maintaining high standards? Join a well-established engineering firm with a strong reputation in motorsport and precision manufacturing as our new Quality Inspector.
What You'll Be Doing
In this practical and varied role, you'll support our Quality and H&S Managers to ensure excellence across the workshop. Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting precision-machined components during production
- Supporting CMM operation (training provided)
- Maintaining calibration, inspection, and audit records
- Assisting with risk assessments and internal audits
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and safety regulations
- Liaising with suppliers and contributing to continuous improvement
What They're Looking For
We're seeking someone reliable, detail-oriented, and confident in a manufacturing setting. Ideally, you'll bring:
- A technical background (e.g., HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience in quality or inspection processes, especially machining
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measuring equipment
- Familiarity with workshop safety practices
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Solid IT skills, especially in Excel
