Gi Group are currently recruiting for Multi-drop Van Driver on a temporary, ongoing basis with possible opportunity of a permanent role

Pay:
* Pay between 08.00am -19.00pm: £13.42 per hour.
* Pay between 19.00pm - 08.00am: £15.92 per hour.
* Pay Saturdays: Additional £1 per hour.
* Pay Sundays: Additional £2 per hour
* Pay OT: £20.13. after 45 hrs worked

Location: Dunstable

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6.00pm.

Job Type: Temporary with possible opportunity of a permanent role.

Our client based in Dunstable delivers parcels every day to people throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. You will be responsible for driving a 3.5 tonne and delivering post quickly and efficiently, following a planned route whilst maintaining high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service

Flexibility on finish times and shift times may vary so please take this into consideration before applying.

Van Driver Responsibilities include:

* Driving a 3.5t long wheel-based van collecting parcels and letters from local residential and commercial addresses.
* Adhering to standard work processes at all times..
* Following 100% to sequence the route on the PDA (route planning device)
* Loading own vehicle between 08.30-09.30am leaving depot around 09.30am to start deliveries.
* Moving up to 65 drops using hand-held scanner.
* Deliveries to commercial and residential properties.

Van Driver Requirements:

* A full and valid UK Cat B Driving licence (manual licence).
* A maximum of 6 points on your licence.
* Experience of driving 3.5t van for 6 months is essential.
* Must have held driving licence for minimum of 12 months and be in current home address.
* We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, flexible and happy to work hard on their own initiative.
* We're looking for someone with good people skills that are helpful and friendly.
* You must be physically fit to be able to manually load parcels into a van (up to 30kg).
* You must be able to provide various documents for identity checks.
* 5-year employment/unemployment history check.
* UK criminal record check.
