The role of Traffic Desk Administrator is located in a busy shipping office in the port of Hull. Handling over 100 vessels per annum and over 220,000 units of predominantly forest products. Processing stock details, cargo collections and processing visiting haulage drivers as well as assisting staff and management in the accurate and efficient handling of day-to-day tasks and enquiries.
Person Specification:
Good communication Skills
Presentable and articulate
Confident speaking to staff, customers and visiting hauliers
Good understanding of Microsoft Office software / using a PC
Experience of ports and shipping is desirable
A positive attitude to tasks and learning
Good attention to detail of printed / written information
Role & Requirements:
Collate and confirm accurate cargo loading information.
Communicate with customers regarding the status of their goods prior to release / collection.
Processing of collection vehicles arriving at the terminal.
Producing complete / accurate collection notes for each load.
Assist operations / admin staff in the location and availability of cargo items.
To question any figures, items that may not appear to be correct when compared to received release information.
Adhere to all terminal safety rules whilst on site.
Undertake any reasonable request in order to fulfil the required service levels.
Undertake further training deemed as necessary to carry out any duties safely and efficiently.
