Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Commission (TBC)
Start Date: May 2025
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (initial 3-month contract)

About Us:
We are recruiting for a growing food distribution company with over 250 customers across the UK. We're now looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Development Representative to help us expand our reach into the restaurant sector and build our new sales department from the ground up.

The Role:
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and generating leads in the restaurant and hospitality sector. This is a face-to-face field-based role that requires a confident, self-starter who thrives on building relationships and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential clients in the food and hospitality industry
* Generate leads and manage the sales pipeline
* Drive sales conversations with a focus on restaurants
* Conduct market research and target outreach (initial targets include London, Watford)
* Create and implement sales strategies and support the development of a new sales department
* Achieve a 40-60% conversation rate on qualified leads
* Engage in start-up business tasks including social media and LinkedIn research

Requirements:
* Sales experience in the food industry (preferred)
* Excellent face-to-face communication and negotiation skills
* Must have a valid driving license and own car
* Able to commute to and work from locations such as Leighton Buzzard, Watford, and London
* Comfortable working on a temp-to-perm basis with progression opportunities to Business Development Manager
* Previous experience with sales targets and metrics
* Available for full-time work
