Job Role: Product Inspection Operator
Area: Wallsend
Hours: (Day shift) 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Are you passionate about maintaining high product quality standards? Do you have an eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring excellence in manufacturing? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Inspection team in Newcastle upon Tyne as a Product Inspection Operator.

The company

Our client is based in North Tyneside, is a proud manufacturer of industrial engine controls, instrumentation, wiring systems, harnesses, and sensors. There components are critical to performance in sectors such as Power Generation, Marine, Automotive, and Rail.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Working with niche products which involve electrical and electronic components
  • Technical abilities include reading wiring schematic drawings
  • Ability to use measuring tools, gauges and some understanding of there visual checking processes
  • Filling out relevant quality reports (reporting non-conformance etc).
  • Comparing the manufactured products with the drawings to check for any defects, incorrect critical dimensions, missing bolts, wires and other parts etc.
  • Support Quality Engineers in investigating and resolving both internal and customer-reported quality defects.
  • Assembling electronic or electrical products
  • Component inspection checks in a manufacturing environment
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Reporting any issues to team leaders
  • Conduct timely and accurate audit tasks.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of products and manufacturing processes
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of seeking guidance when needed
  • Ability to understand Drawings and Schematics
  • Good communication skills between departments
