GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple Class 2 REFUSE Drivers for one of our many local authorities.

Shifts:

We are looking for Class 2 Drivers to work on an initial 10 week contract starting 14-07-2025.

- 0600-0700 starts
- Monday to Friday
- Average 8 hour shift

Pay & Benefits:

- Monday to Friday: - £17.46 per hour *

* Please note that pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Main Duties will include:

- Conducting Vehicle safety checks and road worthiness
- Lead a small crew, give instructions, and manage performance on daily routes
- Communicate clearly with team members and when engaging with the public.

The Candidate:

- A positive attitude and work ethic, always keen to learn new skills
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and road safety in traffic environments
- Competent in using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements
- Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions
- Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively.
- Have good customer service skills
