This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group and work with one of our Local Authority Clients in Swadlincote. This role will be part of a large team of Drivers supporting the environmental services provided by our Client.

Driver Responsibilities:

* Driving an LGV waste collection vehicle, its crew and all activities associated with the collection and loading of refuse and recycling
* Prior to leaving the depot, to check that the vehicle is roadworthy and carry out the Daily Vehicle Maintenance Checks. To be responsible for reporting vehicle defects in accordance with Council procedure.
* To operate the vehicle in accordance with the Highway Code and appropriate Statutory Regulations, including speed limits and driver hours.
* To ensure that the vehicle does not carry in excess of the legally permitted maximum load.

Driver requirements and skills:

* Hold a HGV Class 2 license, Driver CPC & DIGI Cards
* Motoring convictions starting with the code SP for speeding offences are acceptable, up to a max. of 6 points. NB: no other endorsements / convictions are acceptable
* Prior experience is an advantage, but on the job training will be provided.

* Shift length: 7.4 hours

* Rate £16.81 to £25.22 [inc. Holiday Advance Pay]
* Continued professional development and in house DCPC periodic training will be provided [after a qualifying period]
