Electrical Design Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: Leicester

Introduction
GI Pro, the specialist technical division of GI Group, is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a long-established and highly respected manufacturer of electrical equipment.

This is a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer role, where your design expertise will directly contribute to high-performance engineering projects.

Your Responsibilities
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
* Produce electrical design calculations, wiring diagrams, and layout documentation using AutoCAD Electrical.
* Ensure the electrical safety of machinery, including correct wiring, protective measures, emergency stops, and operator safeguards.
* Design and verify low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies, ensuring mechanical integrity, thermal performance, and compliance with distribution standards.
* Review and approve design work from other team members.
* Collaborate with Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support teams.
* Lead technical investigations and contribute to product development and testing.
* Deliver projects on time and within budget, managing a varied workload.
* Identify and implement new industry-wide processes.
