Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Shift Pattern: Panama Shift - 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) / Monday - Friday - No Weekends!
Are you a talented Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong FMCG background? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and expanding engineering team at a leading food manufacturing site in Liverpool.
The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a close-knit team responsible for maintaining specialist machinery and equipment across the site. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production equipment and machinery
- Perform site-wide preventative maintenance
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Support factory start-up and equipment testing
- Complete documentation accurately and on time
What We're Looking For
- Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical background in maintenance
- Experience in a controlled manufacturing environment (food industry experience is a plus)
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Understanding of statutory requirements and food safety
- Proactive approach to health and safety
