We're searching for passionate Production Supervisors to join our growing bakery operation, supporting the delivery of high‑quality products and keeping our production lines running smoothly.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll guide and develop a team of Operatives, maintain high standards, and help shape a positive, safe, and productive working environment.

Shift Patterns & Salaries

We're recruiting for two different shift patterns, both offering a fantastic work-life balance thanks to a 4 on / 3 off structure.

Day Shift - 1 Vacancy

  • Wednesday - Saturday
  • 6am - 6pm
  • £35,681 per year

Night Shift - 2 Vacancies

Choose from:

  • Wednesday - Saturday, or
  • Sunday - Wednesday
  • 6pm - 6am
  • £36,929 per year

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products are made, packaged, and delivered to the highest standards. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of Production Operatives
  • Ensuring all processes, controls, and quality standards are followed
  • Working to a daily production plan and sharing shift reports with the wider business
  • Meeting key business KPIs
  • Championing a strong Health & Safety culture
  • Providing coaching, training, and ongoing development to your team
  • Liaising with labour agencies and giving feedback on performance
  • Communicating effectively with other departments
  • Supporting audits and high‑profile site visits
  • Acting as deputy for the Shift Operations Manager when required

This is an active role in a busy bakery environment, involving both manual and non‑manual tasks, so you'll need to be comfortable working on your feet and handling physical activity when needed.

About the Bakery

You'll be joining a long‑established bakery with a proud heritage and a passion for making great bread accessible to everyone. With over a century of craft behind us, we operate across multiple sites with a friendly, diverse team of more than 500 people.

Training and development are at the heart of what we do. You'll have the chance to learn from experienced bakers, grow your skills, and progress into supervisory or management roles if that's where you want to go.

What We're Looking For

We value attitude just as much as experience. If you're someone who shows up, gives your best, and enjoys working with others, you'll fit right in.

Essential qualities:

  • Strong communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Resilience, motivation, and a positive approach
  • Experience in food manufacturing (bakery experience is a bonus)
