Our Client based in Newbury, who have been established for over 25 years are the leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK are looking for a Health and Safety Manager on a permanent full time basis due to continuous business growth.
The Health and Safety Manager oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing management of effective H&S systems, ensuring workforce safety and full compliance with all applicable legal and environmental requirements
Salary & Benefits
* Salary up to £45,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE
* Monday - Friday

Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Carry out comprehensive risk assessments across all operational activities
* Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with operational management
* Oversee incident reporting processes and ensure full RIDDOR compliance
* Maintain accurate COSHH records and ensure safe handling of hazardous substances
* Review and update HSE policy documents to align with current HSE regulations
* Work collaboratively with HR and operational teams to deliver training and maintain health‑surveillance records
* Ensure HSE policies are consistently applied and embedded in day‑to‑day operations
* Monitor performance and produce regular HSE reports
Skills & Requirements
* Relevant technical industry experience - Essential
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation - Essential
* Strong communication and leadership capabilities - Essential
* NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma - Desirable
* Experience conducting audits and liaising with external inspectors - Desirable
