Workshop Technician
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Newbury– own transport essential (no public transport links)
Join our clients team as a Workshop Technician, supporting the repair, cleaning, and fault diagnosis of equipment. You'll ensure all equipment is ready for redeployment and meets quality standards.
Benefits:
- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays (increases to 23 days after 2 years, and 25 days after 4 years’ service)
- Supportive workshop and warehouse environment
- Training provided on sanitizing and descaling processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and clean returned equipment
- Install components onto equipment
- Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults
- Provide operational support in workshops, plus the warehouse where needed, including equipment handling and container unloading.
- Assist customers over the phone with technical queries, maintaining a professional and approachable manner.
About You:
- Technical aptitude and hands-on repair skills.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physically fit, able to help with unloading containers.
- Good telephone manner for customer support.
- Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
