Warehouse Operative Newport Shift Pattern: Rotational - Week 1: 07:00-15:00 | Week 2: 13:00-21:00 Contract Type: 3 Month potential to extend Full-Time Hourly Rate: £13.45
A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support its busy Newport site. The warehouse covers raw materials, finished goods, environmental zones, and all areas where stock is stored or moved. Key Responsibilities
- Process finished goods from production areas
- Pack finished products onto pallets and store them in correct warehouse locations
- Manage inbound and outbound stock to and from external warehouses
- Maintain a safe, organised workspace in line with 5S standards
- Reduce waste and minimise product damage
- Receive raw materials and general deliveries
- Handle waste processing within the warehouse
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately
- Load customer orders onto delivery vehicles
- Carry out PI (perpetual inventory) counts
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional tasks as required by management
- Work flexibly to meet operational needs
- Travel to off‑site locations when required
Required Skills & Experience
- Side‑loading forklift licence - essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar warehouse role
- Confident using computers and warehouse systems
- Experience working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment
- Strong literacy and numeracy
- Team‑focused, adaptable, and reliable
- Positive, proactive attitude
